I think I have my own way of interpreting the words “God has a plan for me.” Yes, I do believe that He has a plan for me. But sometimes I think that it’s absurd. Yes, God has a plan, but does that mean I can sit around and do nothing while this plan takes place in my life? Can I just give up on everything on purpose because I believe that no matter what I do, God’s plan for me will occur anyways? How will I ever know what this plan is? Some people may say just trust God with no questions and take the leap of faith like Abraham. But in my opinion, questions do nothing but test your faith, which can prove to strengthen it, right?
Well here’s my take: yes, God has a plan for you, but he loves you enough to let you choose what you want to do. We all say that God gives us opportunities. Well, these opportunities are there to let YOU decide what YOUR plan is. The only definite plan for you, provided by God, is heaven. Time here on earth should be spent the way you want to. This doesn’t mean go do whatever you want, but rather do what you want humbly and thankfully. God loves us all enough to let us decide what we do in our lives. Yes, trust God for he is always holding you in the palm of his hand. However, God’s hands are open, not closed. The open space is the opportunities you get in life to create who YOU define yourself as.
This post is just my philosophy. You don’t have to believe it, and I’m not fighting anyone who does. There are probably a ton of bible verses and arguments proving me wrong, but I am a person of logic. It doesn’t make sense to me to say that God has a plan for me. Yes, I know God works in mysterious ways. But if God had a definite plan for every being, then what is the point of trying in life when the plan will manifest itself in your life anyways no matter what you do?
